Two of my songs were chosen for a cd to be used at the “Mix in ’06” women’s event, scheduled to take place in June 2006. It is a historic gathering of the Disciples of Christ Women’s Quadrennial Assembly and the United Church of Christ National Women’s Meeting. The cd has lots of great songs from all different musicians within our movements. The theme of the gathering is “Dream on Sisters”, and will focus on women’s dreams and hopes for the church as we move forward with our faith. Women will come from all over the country and the gathering promises to be a powerful, uplifting experience. I’ve been asked to participate in the “Mix in ‘06” gathering, along with three other women, bringing music, dance, storytelling and who knows what else to the event. I’m very excited for the opportunity.
