I am probably best known as the improvisational pianist and bandleader on WHOSE LINE IS IT ANYWAY? I also played on the groundbreaking DREW CAREY LIVE episodes in 1999 and 2000, and on a Showtime special with DREW CAREY AND THE IMPROV ALL STARS. I have also toured with the IMPROV ALL STARS playing live shows all over the country.
I have worked in films both behind the scenes and in front of the camera. I wrote music for and appeared in all of THE WHEELS ON THE BUS series of dvd’s for children, starring Roger Daltrey. I scored the documentary SWIMMING IN AUSCHWITZ, as well as several independent films, including ANATOMY OF A BREAKUP with Whose Line guitarist, Linda Taylor. And I can be seen (briefly!) in CHRISTMAS WITH THE KRANKS as one of the carolers.
I produced a cd of original worship music, A WOMAN OF FAITH. These songs are a personal expression of my faith journey. I have traveled around the country playing the songs live at churches and gatherings. I’ve also written and produced two albums of original music for children, I SEE A TIGER and COME JOIN THE PARADE, and have toured doing concerts for kids. I have also written and/or performed songs that have been included on several compilation albums, including POP THAT!, DREAM ON SISTERS, and A CHURCH WITH A VISION. And I worked as a producer on Dan Castellaneta’s (the voice of Homer Simpson) cd’s TWO LIPS and I AM NOT HOMER.
I got my start in improv in Chicago at the legendary SECOND CITY. I went on the road with the touring company, and have played with almost every improv group in Chicago and L.A., including THE ANNOYANCE THEATER and IMPROV OLYMPIC.
I’ve also composed music for several original stage shows, including PIGBOY which was chosen for the Aspen Comedy Festival, PATTY, PATTY, BANG! BANG! which won an L.A. Weekly award for Best New Musical, and the Jeff Award winning Second City show, CHANNEL THIS.
