Because of the great response we got to the first video, we decided to make another. Roger had enjoyed making the first one, and his grandkids really liked it too (Isn’t it weird that Roger Daltrey has grandkids?!)
So in the winter of 2004 we started pre-production. This time I was more involved with the song writing right from the start, and there are more original songs, which makes me very happy. Plus, knowing the actor/singers I would be working with, I was able to write even more to their strengths. In particular, it was really fun writing songs I knew Roger Daltrey would be singing! And I got to travel to Belfast, Ireland to record Roger’s tracks. He was there working on a movie. We were also lucky enough to get Victoria Jackson (of SNL fame) to play a mouse who arrives from the moon in a tiny
spaceship. Her voice was perfect for the part.

Once again, it was the collaborative process that was so exciting for me, creating something together that’s greater than the sum of its parts. I got to work with experienced voice over artists who do characters for all sorts of animated shows, a couple who make their living being clowns, children with little or no experience in a studio, and even a big rock star! The challenge of writing for and recording them all was a fun one.
