I got to play this year on a recording called ALL WOOD AND STONES, done by my friends John Batdorf and James Lee Stanley. The cd is made up of all acoustic versions of Rolling Stones songs, and they turned out pretty cool. John and James are great at creating these intricate, intertwining guitar parts like Crosby Stills and Nash or the Eagles. They had lots of fabulous musicians sit in, and I was honored to be asked to play accordion on “Backstreet Girl”. This was my first professional recording session as an accordion player, so it was a big deal to me. I was thrilled with how the track turned out.
