The Jungle
Words and music by Laura Hall © 1993
Miranda, age 8
This is the first kid’s song I wrote, on a long car ride with my niece. My husband, Rick Hall, did the animal sounds. I love to do this one in concert and have the kids do the animal sounds.
Here comes a tiger walking through the jungle
Here comes a tiger
Look there’s a tiger lots of stripes on her
Look there’s a tiger
I see a tiger drinking from the water
I see a tiger
Out here in the jungle, on a safari
Out here in the jungle, there’s so much to see
Here comes a monkey swinging through the treetops
Here comes a monkey
Look there’s a monkey eating a banana
Look there’s a monkey
I see a monkey hanging by his tail
I see a monkey
Out here in the jungle, on a safari
Out here in the jungle, there’s so much to see
Here comes a big snake slithering and sliding
Here comes a big snake
Look there’s a big snake slipping through the tall grass
Look there’s a big snake
I see a big snake sleeping in the warm sun
I see a big snake
Out here in the jungle, on a safari
Out here in the jungle, there’s so much to see
Out here in the jungle, on a safari
Out here in the jungle, there’s so much to see
