Wild Child

This was so fun to record because I got to sing in what I call my fake opera voice.
Most of the time I am very, very good
I listen to my parents and I do as I should
Ordinarily I behave very well
I never throw a tantrum and I very seldom yell
But every once in a while you know
When the moon is full and the wind starts to blow
I hear the beat of a distant drum
And I become…
A wild child, a wild child
A wild child, a wild child
I jump around like a bunch of monkeys
I swing from chandeliers and climb up trees
I squish my carrots and I throw my peas
I never ever say thank you and please
A wild child, I’m a wild child
I crawl around on my hands and knees
I never sleep, won’t catch any zzz’s
I only eat candy, cake and cookies
I never shut the door so everyone will freeze
A wild child, I’m a wild child
I make a mess of macaroni and cheese
I never ever learn my ABC’s
I won’t share my toys with little babies
I never cover up my mouth when I sneeze
A wild child, I’m a wild child
Ooo, a wild child
Yeah, yeah a wild child
But then I usually get in trouble so I stop right then
But you never know when, it might happen again
When I will hear that distant drum
and I become…
A wild child, I’m a wild child
Ooo, a wild child
Yeah, yeah a wild child
